The automotive enthusiasts in Indonesia are very expressive, sometimes bullying or adoring a car excessively. One of the victims was the Honda Civic FB, the sedan that became the successor to the Civic FD. Because it is considered a ‘failed product’, is a used Honda Civic FB not worth buying?

Oh, don’t rush into taking your stance, friends, because the Civic FB is also not as bad as you think. Indeed, in this generation of Civic FB, it seems as if it immediately loses its sporty spirit. The design is so different from the previous version, and the Civic FB further emphasizes the elegant and premium impression of the sedan.

The Honda Civic FB was introduced in 2011 and produced until 2016. Seeing that the Civic FD has a pure sporty design, according to many people, the Civic FB has lost the “soul” of its aggressive Civic.

The Civic FB generation further emphasizes the energetic, beautiful and aerodynamic impression. Unfortunately, this model has not received much appreciation in the country.

The reason is that many people consider the design of the Civic FB to be considered less than okay. Even though it is said to be the most failed Civic, the selling price of this used Civic FB is still quite sustainable.

The market for this used Honda Civic FB starts from Rp. 180 million to Rp. 200 million. It’s still quite expensive even though it’s not a famous car like the Civic FD.

The Honda Civic FB actually still takes the same DNA from the 8th generation. Changes occurred in the exterior and interior design. Well, this new design makes the Civic soul seem lost.

Behind the glamorous impression of the Civic FB, the sporty character of the Civic is still strong in the driving impression. Civic FB has a driving character that is Fun to Drive, aka fun to drive. The steering wheel of the Civic FB is sharp, precise, and provides good feedback to the driver.

This ninth generation Civic is equipped with many new features as the main device. Call it ABS brakes, Vehicle stability assist, and electronic brake distribution are its flagship features. Sitting in the driver’s seat, we are presented with a futuristic two-level instrument cluster.

The Honda Civic FB is arguably less exciting in the market. In fact, the production period is only short, so that the population in Indonesia is not as much as the Civic FD. Even so, this car is still equipped with a powerful and fun 1,800 cc i-VTEC engine to drive. If you don’t have a tray, you can choose the 2,000 cc engine option.

In the Honda Civic FD there is also a Sport Mode, leather seats with electric adjustments, HID lights, and digital instruments that can change the color appearance according to the driving mode. Cool, right?

This ninth generation Honda Civic was almost forgotten. The period of its appearance coincided with the sedan segment that consumers began to abandon and switch to SUVs. The design is also quieter than the eighth generation Civic. So, is this used Honda Civic FB interesting to have?

The Honda Civic FB has many interesting things that make it worthy of choice. Because the population is also not too much, the Honda Civic FB is automatically able to provide exclusivity to its owners.

As a sedan, the Civic FB actually has a calmer appearance and is not filled with sharp lines like the Civic FD. Well, this design is enough to hide the typical aggressive side of the Civic. So, for those of you who like calm-looking sedans, with aggressive performance, the Civic FB is worth a look.

On the exterior, the Honda Civic FB2 has an elegant sporty concept, and the appearance of this car is very interesting to look at. At the front, the Civic FB appears dashing because it has a narrow headlamp design and a fog lamp that is placed on the bumper which has been equipped with a body kit.

Honda Civic FB is equipped with 2 types of engines. The first 1.8 liter R18A engine has a maximum power of 140 hp / 6,300 rpm while the torque reaches 177 Nm / 4,200 rpm. For the second engine, the 2.0 liter K20Z type which has a maximum power of 155 Hp / 6,000 rpm while the torque reaches 192 Nm / 4,200 rpm.

Even though the Honda Civic FB is less popular, this medium sedan is not worth bullying. Because, the design can be an alternative for fans of elegant sedans but looking for aggressive performance. The price is also more affordable than buying a used European sedan.

The design is calm, with a streamlined silhouette typical of Civic. In terms of performance it is also quite tempting. If you want to look a little sporty, just replace the wheels with a bigger size and install the body kit.
